PI ProcessBook is based on outdated technology and no longer meets the current security requirements in a regulated environment. In addition, the official discontinuation of PI ProcessBook allows AVEVA to focus on the further development of the successor product PI Vision.
Like the manufacturer, we recommend switching to AVEVA PI Vision. PI Vision is the successor product to PI ProcessBook. It enables the user to better visualize process data and gain a clear overview of production. The data can be displayed, analysed and contextualized in real time or historically. Clear diagrams, tables or individual graphic elements can be easily displayed. PI Vision is web-based and does not require any specific client software, either for displaying or creating the displays.
