Mission statement 2024: Committed
As part of our 2024 mission statement, we addressed the topic of "commitment" and showed that CTE is not just about dedication at work. Our employees have used their free time to do good in various social projects.
At the first meeting of our mission statement team at the beginning of 2024, we took a close look at the theme for the year and explored it creatively. It quickly became clear that it would be a challenge to convey this theme to our employees in an attractive and appealing way over the course of an entire year. After all, who wants to constantly hear that they should be committed, do more than is required or always be passionate about their work? At CTE, this has long been common practice...
That's why we had a better idea: we wanted to show that CTE is not only committed in its day-to-day work, but also socially committed - and this naturally also applies to our employees. A real sign at a time when the "social" factor is often neglected because money and time are becoming increasingly scarce. We deliberately wanted to make a difference here.
A survey revealed the areas in which our colleagues would be willing to become socially involved. Based on these results, we organized events together with various institutions where our support was particularly welcome. The activities included:
Blaues Kreuz Jugendwerk: Sorting, repairing and moving materials
Change of frequency: construction of a barbecue area and cleaning of the surroundings
City of Liestal: Forest cleaning campaign
Liestal Holiday Pass: Accompaniment for llama trekking and in the Escape Room
Rheinfelden animal shelter: Support for the flea market
The response was great - almost all employees volunteered and took part in a campaign! Particularly worth mentioning: all the campaigns took place at weekends and our colleagues invested their free time in helping others without expecting anything in return. A real example of social commitment!
At the end, the mission statement team organized a meal together in the CTE, where each event group was able to share their experiences.
Many thanks to the mission statement team with Jan Widmer, Patric Sumlak, Denis Krüger, Pedro Monteiro, Angela Furtwängler and Anh Tuan Dang. And, of course, a big thank you to everyone who is involved in these projects or in their free time. Your commitment makes a real difference and is invaluable!
