Industrie 2025: Helping to shape the digital transformation
Our experts in data management and industrial IT are helping to drive forward digital transformation and Industry 4.0 concepts in the Swiss workplace. ControlTech Engineering is a new partner of the "Industrie 2025" initiative and is deepening its existing knowledge.
"We are very pleased to be a partner in the "Industrie 2025"," explains Michael Gempp, IT Systems Engineer at ControlTech Engineering AG in Liestal. For him, the network of customers and other experts is a great added value: "It helps us all move forward when we exchange ideas in the same field of interest. In the end, we all face the same challenges. Only together can we position ourselves well as a Swiss workplace in the face of foreign competition."
The "Industrie 2025" initiative was founded in June 2015 by the industry associations asut, SwissT.net and Swissmem as the Swiss answer to the numerous national platforms (such asPlattform Industrie 4.0 GermanyorPlattform Industrie 4.0 Austria). The aim is to be at the cutting edge together and to understand customer needs first-hand through exchange. It's all about experience and new insights: "We can only make progress together," explains IT specialist Michael Gempp. For him, "Industrie 2025" with its numerous events and working groups is exactly the right initiative to promote networking with the respective interest groups.
ControlTech Engineering is focusing on two working groups in the areas of“CyberSecurity—What is cyber security? The totality of measures taken to protect systems, networks, and data from digital attacks and misuse”and“SmartFactory—What does smart factory mean?In a smart factory, networked production facilities, logistics systems, and products operate completely autonomously without human intervention.” In the future, in addition to active exchange within the working groups, the focus will be on regularly attending events and sharing exciting insights. Successful projects will also be presented through theIndustrie 2025network. “Of course, we also want to incorporate exciting approaches into our daily work to support our customers in expanding their competitive advantages. Our product portfolio is structured accordingly,” explains Michael Gempp (right). As an expert in the field of Industrial IT, he is responsible for the “Security Solutions” and “Infrastructure” product families. In addition, Patric Sumlak (left), as a data specialist, will also join a working group in the Smart Data sector.
