Automation System Engineer

We specialise in the automation of production systems and offer related solutions for industrial IT. The family-owned company based in Liestal currently has over 70 employees. Committed and skilled system and IT engineers are the foundation of our success.

In over 30 years, we have carried out more than 8,000 exciting projects for our customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food, beverage, mechanical engineering, energy & environment and transport & logistics sectors.

Your duties

  • Planning and creating functional specifications for control systems and autonomous control systems in an industrial environment in the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotech sectors

  • Creation of concepts for control and regulation, batch applications with MES connection, visualisation, data management and system evaluation

  • Developing software for PLC, SCADA or DCS (S7-TIA, Zenon, PCS7, DeltaV, Beckhoff or similar)

  • Analysis and optimisation of the control of production processes

  • Commissioning of systems

  • Carrying out and reviewing program tests according to QA guidelines and commissioning

  • GMP-compliant documentation of the work performed and summary of any discrepancies

Your profile

  • FH or HF degree in systems engineering (automation) or equivalent training

  • Confident handling of MS Office and IT systems

  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills

  • Precise, independent and structured way of working, as well as a solution-oriented approach

  • Organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and  in a team

  • High level of personal responsibility

  • Competent and professional appearance
