IT/OT Solution Engineer

We are a leading engineering company based in Northwestern Switzerland and have already completed, in over 30 years, more than 8,000 exciting projects for our clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food, beverage, mechanical engineering, energy & environment and transportation & logistics sectors.

Industry 4.0, IoT, cloud, security or digitalisation - the fusion of IT and OT (Operational Technologies) is progressing and with us, you are right in the middle of it! We develop system landscapes and big data solutions that also meet the future requirements of digitalisation, as well as meeting the high demands of IT security. With our OT Solutions team, we support our customers in their projects and daily challenges.

As the field of IT/OT is extremely extensive, of course, we don't expect our employees to perfectly master all activities, systems and requirements. We always strive to find assignments for our employees that match their skills, experience, interests and future orientation.

Your duties

  • Planning and implementation of challenging IT projects in the industrial OT (Operational Technologies) environment

  • Creating concepts and implementing system landscapes that also meet future digitalisation requirements

  • Developing big data solutions to collect, analyse and process production data for dissemination

  • Creating business analyses, carrying out requirements engineering, computer system validation and interface engineering to automation and ERP systems

Our system environment

  • MES systems from Siemens, Emerson, Rockwell, Werum or even custom MES systems

  • PIMS systems, such as AVEVA PI or GeFanuc Historian, VIDEC Acron

  • Production reports/dashboarding with product-specific and generic reporting tools and business intelligence applications

  • Connections to various SCADA and control systems

  • Communication interfaces to ERP systems

Your profile

  • At least an FH degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering or equivalent training

  • Good understanding of processes in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical sectors

  • Experience in MES systems or similar applications in the integration layer as well as in OT projects with regard to horizontal and vertical communication in production networks

  • Confident handling of MS Office and IT systems

  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills

  • Precise, independent and structured way of working, as well as a solution-oriented approach

  • Ability to coordinate, work under pressure and work in a team

  • High level of personal responsibility

  • Competent and professional appearance
