FHNW Career Day 2024 in Brugg-Windisch

ControlTech Engineering (CTE) presents exciting prospects for future specialists in automation and industrial IT.

This year's Career Day took place on March 19 at the FHNW Campus Brugg-Windisch. Students from the engineering and business departments had the opportunity to get to know potential employers and make valuable contacts. As experts in the field of automation and industrial IT, ControlTech Engineering (CTE) was on hand to attract new, committed employees and get to know the specialists of tomorrow.

"CTE combines data science, industrial IT and process automation under one roof, which makes us particularly exciting as an employer," emphasized our Managing Director Andreas Langer. CTE attaches particular importance to commitment and fun at work. To achieve this, every employee is deployed exactly where their interests are greatest.

To give the students an insight into the various departments, Managing Director Andreas Langer and colleagues from the Industrial IT, Process Automation and Data Management departments were on hand to answer questions.

An increasingly important area at CTE is data management, which is becoming more and more important thanks to well-known tools such as ChatGPT or DALL-E. Data Engineer Stefan Kramberg explains: "This is the third time we have been part of the FHNW Career Day and the students' interest in data science has increased from year to year. Chris has been part of our data team since the last Career Day and is currently working on a very exciting AI pilot project together with the FHNW."

One example of the development opportunities at CTE is the story of Michael Gempp, IT Systems Engineer. The dual study program at CTE has contributed to his professional development. "Even during my studies, I was able to work independently at CTE, get involved and be productive. Instead of just thinking about theoretical scenarios, I was already programming a prototype for a visualization with LabVIEW for a customer." Today, Michael Gempp is an IT specialist in charge of major projects such as Roche's pRED, where he is responsible for the network infrastructure as well as the Network Security of the building complex.

Michael also emphasizes the importance of CTE's support in his professional development: "CTE has always supported me when I wanted to further my professional development." Today, he is proud to work on important projects such as the transformation of the new Waldenburgerbahn of the Basellandschaftliche Verkehrsbetriebe (BLT) into the "next generation" of infrastructure and to develop real solutions for real problems.

Overall, the Career Day was a great success for CTE. Not only were we able to meet potential new employees, but we were also able to underline our commitment to developing future talent.

We at CTE are proud to be an attractive employer and look forward to continuing to drive the future of automation and industrial IT together with our talented team.
