CTE is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001
ControlTech Engineering AG is officially certified to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001. This confirms that CTE operates in accordance with audited, internationally recognized standards in quality management and information security.
What does ISO/IEC 27001 mean?
CTE has been ISO 9001-certified since 1996; this standard sets verified requirements for quality management. ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for information security management systems. It describes how organizations systematically protect information, assess risks, and implement appropriate measures for handling information, access, and processes.
The new ISO/IEC 27001 certification is an important step for CTE. In recent years, the Industrial IT sector in particular has grown. As a result, issues such as secure system access, data availability, network architectures, and the protection of sensitive information have become increasingly important. Especially where IT, OT, and industrial processes converge, clear processes, defined responsibilities, and a conscious approach to risk management are essential.
For CTE, preparing for initial certification under ISO/IEC 27001 was not merely a documentation project. Many existing processes were reviewed, responsibilities were clarified, risks were systematically assessed, and supporting documentation was compiled. The goal was not only to meet the requirements of a standard, but also to further develop existing processes and embed information security even more firmly into day-to-day operations.
For our customers, this certification means they are working with a partner that takes a structured approach to quality and information security and has these aspects regularly audited. This fosters transparency, reliability, and trust—especially in challenging projects involving automation, industrial IT, and data management.
This milestone was made possible by the dedication of many employees who helped prepare for the audit, contributed their insights, documented the process, and took on responsibilities during the audit. We would like to express our sincere thanks to them!
